MKMMA Week 11 — The Magic of Release
I had an experience many years ago that’s always stuck with me.
I was teaching basic recorder (blockflute) classes for adults, in 8 to 10 week sessions, 3 or 4 people per class. It was very pleasant and relaxed. This was pre-home-computer, and my advertising was hand-designed flyers that I posted around town.
I had been teaching these classes for a few years, and a few weeks before I wanted to start the next session I went around and posted my flyers. Sure enough, four people signed up for the session, just like I wanted.
But something odd happened. When people phoned to sign up, I always asked them how they heard about the class. For that session, NONE of them had been attracted by my newly posted flyers. One cleaned her desk and discovered my old flyer from many months before. One had a friend mention it to her. And so on.
Initially I thought that my recent flyer-posting had been a waste time, but then I realized something else was at work. My takeaway from that experience was that it’s always essential that I energetically plant the seed for what I want, and the result will surely follow. Subby, the Universe, whomever is pulling the strings does reciprocate with the supply when I set a specific intention and feed it with action and effort.
I’m having a similar experience here with MKMMA. I know my clear DMP is vital and potent. I also know that the fulfillment comes when I take definite steps that reinforce and support my intention. From there, Subconscious says, “She’s serious about this. I’ll get to work and make it happen for her.”
In my experience, the creative process requires focus and consistent effort and intention. After that, it requires freedom and release to simply let the fulfillment come as best it will.
This seems totally aligned with our reading this week, “Believe that ye receive and ye shall receive.” In my experience, that belief has to be charged with energized action.
I’m very grateful.
